Different observers were using different plate-solving software to confirm target coordinates, which occasionally produced small position discrepancies between nodes reporting on the same object. We’ve now standardized the whole network on one open-source pipeline.
This isn’t a glamorous change, but it’s the kind of quiet infrastructure work that keeps a volunteer-run archive actually usable for cross-referencing between observers years later.
